A trick-or-treater smashes a pumpkin during the Greeks and Treats event at Greek Court on Thursday. People were able to purchase pumpkins for only $5 at the event. The proceeds went to HOPE, the Sarah Bush Lincoln Cancer Center and the Charleston Food Pantry.

Courtney Cager, a junior accounting and fashion merchandising major, smashes pumpkins with Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Sigma Tau and Kappa Delta to help with Phi Kappa Theta’s philanthropy project on Thursday evening at Ninth Street. “I love helping out other Greek’s philanthropy on campus while spending time with my sisters,” she said.

Sobell said she is from Brazil, so she had never carved a pumkin before Monday. “I’ve always liked the designs I’ve seen in movies and I wanted to do one,” Sobell said.
