Hey, I’m Karina Delgado and I am the Photo Editor. I am a senior English major. It’s been a long journey with The DEN. I came on the DEN staff to design pages and shoot Eastern athletics. Now here I am as Photo Editor and writing columns.

Abigial Stites, a hospitality and tourism senior, manages the back of "The Cafe" located in Klehm Hall during lunch rush Thursday afternoon. Stites was manager for the kitchen and was in charge of recipes this week. This week The Cafe was serving cheese enchiladas, Mexican street corn, salad and chicken tortilla soup.

Theobald said she has been working at 4th Street for two years. “I really do enjoy it," Theobald said. She also said she enjoys the holidays, homecoming events and state track season in the shop.

Santa Claus waves goodbye as cars reach towards the end of Christmas in the Heart of Charleston parade Saturday evening. This year, Christmas in the Heart of Charleston had a drive-through parade where cars entered on 7th Street and drove by parade floats.

Megan Donovan, a junior career and technical education major, lifeguards at Padovan Pool Thursday evening. Donovan said she has been lifeguarding since she was 15 but started lifeguarding at Eastern this semester. “I like knowing that I’m responsible for people's lives," she said.  “If there is a situation I am the one to save them.”

Kessler Ulberg, a senior studio art major, works on his vase project in Dounda Hall Sunday night. Ulberg explained that he is “coil building” for his Cermaics I project. Ulberg says the “modern art era” pictures in the classroom is what inspired his vase design.
