The male Panther of the Week is going to go to Bryce Riggs from the baseball team.
The sophomore right-handed pitcher from Cicero, Indiana recorded two wins throughout Eastern’s five games over the week.
Riggs’ first win of the week was against Butler University on Tuesday. Riggs pitched for 2.2 innings, allowing only two hits. The Panthers went on to defeat the Bulldogs 12-1.
Riggs’ second win of the week was against Southern Indiana on Sunday. Riggs pitched for five innings, allowing only one hit and one run. The Panthers defeated the Screaming Eagles 9-8.
The female Panther of the Week is going to Kenyetietta Quinn from the track team.
The freshman from Columbus, Ohio recorded a first place finish in the high jump at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational.
Quinn recorded a high jump of 1.65m, which is now her personal best in the category.
