The first Panther of the Week is going to Julian Patino from the football team.
The redshirt junior kicker from Chicago kicked the game-winning field goal to help the Panthers secure the 16-13 overtime win against Charleston Southern Saturday afternoon.
Patino recorded the 18-yard field goal in overtime to give the Panthers their second Big South-Ohio Valley Conference.
Patino was also recognized before the game due to senior recognition along with 26 other seniors.
The second Panther of the Week is going to NaKyel Shelton from the basketball team.
The senior guard from Chicago led the Panthers in scoring against the Northwestern Wildcats Friday night.
Shelton recorded 19 points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Shelton helped Eastern force Northwestern into overtime.
Eastern lost to Northwestern 67-58.
