The first Panther of the Week is going to Pierce Holley from the football team.
The graduate quarterback from Arvada, Colorado, helped lead the team to its second overall win in the season against Western Illinois Saturday afternoon.
Holley recorded 19 completions out of 27 attempts for 338 passing yards. Holley also recorded five touchdowns and zero interceptions.
The last time Holley recorded zero interceptions and at least two touchdowns was against Southeast Missouri State on Oct. 5.
The second Panther of the Week is going to MJ Flowers from the football team.
The redshirt sophomore running back from Cincinnati, Ohio, recorded 194 rushing yards and three touchdowns. One of Flowers’ touchdowns was a rushing touchdown, and he also recorded two receiving touchdowns.
With Flowers’ performance, he now has nine touchdowns throughout the season, leading the Panthers in that category.
Eastern won its game against Western Illinois with a final score of 45-38.
