The female Panther of the Week is going to Avery Richardson from the women’s soccer team.

The senior midfielder from Grand Haven, Michigan, scored her first collegiate goal against Tennessee Tech on Thursday afternoon.

Richardson scored the first goal of the game in the 17th minute from a corner kick. Junior forward Kya Trejo recorded the assist from Richardson’s goal.

The Panthers won against the Golden Eagles 2-1 Thursday afternoon at Lakeside Field.

The male Panther of the Week is going to Conner Colston from the men’s swimming team.

The senior freestyle competitor from Fremont, Ohio helped the men’s swimming team record their first win of the season at the Valpo tri-meet with a 100-88 victory over the Valparaiso Beacons.

Colston recorded a first place finish in the 100 meter freestyle with a final time of 47.50. Colston also finished in second place in the 200-meter freestyle with a final time of 1:43.54.
