Sophomore offensive lineman Nic DiSanto shared his thoughts ranging from how he feels about the 2024 season to what his favorite thing about Eastern is.
Q: When did you start playing football?
A: “I played one year of little league. Freshman year, I kind of played, kind of didn’t, and then, sophomore year I started.”
Q: What position did you start playing?
A: “Offensive tackle.”
Q: If you could play at any other position what would it be?
A: “Probably tight end. I already have the blocking part of it down.”
Q: Who is your favorite football team?
A: “The Detroit Lions.”
Q: What teammate would you let get the aux?
A: “Ruben Popoca.”
Q: If you had the power to bring one person to campus who would it be?
A: “Dan Campbell.”
Q: How do you feel about the season?
A: “I feel pretty confident because of how much work we put into the offseason. Starting from the Robert-Morris game till the last game, I haven’t been a part of a team that has this much of a bond before.”
Q: Do you think the earth is round or flat?
A: “Round.”
Q: Why did you choose to play football at Eastern?
A: “They took a chance on me. The coaching staff is a phenomenal coaching staff, and they’re pretty much just straight true to [their] word. What they told me when they recruited me is the truth. and I’ve been here since.”
Q: What was your best vacation?
A: “My family and I went to Italy this summer.”
Q: What is your favorite season?
A: “Summer in Michigan.”
Q: Do you have any secret talents?
A: “I used to be pretty good at ping pong.”
Q: Who’s the funniest person on the team?
A: “Jamal Jeffers.”
Q: Who is someone you look up to?
A: “Probably my dad or brother. My dad’s work ethic and providing for our family and being there whenever I need them, and my brother, [I] always [have] a shoulder to lean on or I [can] ask a question about football life.”
Q: Do you have any pregame rituals?
A: “Whenever I tie my cleats, I make sure I listen to ‘California Girls’ by Katy Perry.”
Q: What would you tell your younger self?
A: “Stay true to yourself. Keep pushing when no one believes in you.”
