The female Panther of the Week is going to Kaitlyn Flynn from the volleyball team.
The senior outside/opposite hitter from Rockford helped the volleyball team finish the Southern Illinois Saluki Bash from Friday through Saturday 3-0.
On Friday, Flynn recorded 20 kills, five blocks and two aces in the team’s 3-1 win against the Memphis Tigers.
In Eastern’s 3-1 win over Jackson State on Friday, Flynn recorded 12 kills, one block and one ace.
On Saturday, Flynn recorded three digs, two kills and one block.
The male Panther of the Week is going to Cooper Willman from the football team.
The senior wide receiver from Sterling recorded his first collegiate career touchdown against Indiana State Saturday evening.
Willman caught a pass from graduate quarterback Pierce Holley and ran five yards for the touchdown.
Eastern beat Indiana State 27-20 for the team’s home opener.
