Two Panthers from the football team have been named as All-Americans for the Football Subdivision Championship division.
Redshirt freshman MJ Flowers and freshman Nic DiSanto have been selected as FCS Phil Steele All-Americans.
Flowers was selected as a first-team All-American. The running back from Cincinnati rushed for 854 yards this season.
Flowers was also named runner-up for the 2023 Jerry Rice Award which is presented to the nation’s top FCS freshman.
DiSanto was selected as a fourth-team All-American. The offensive lineman from Wyandotte, MI started the last eight games of the season on the right end of the offensive line for the Panthers.
DiSanto helped block for the Panther offense that was ranked 25th in the FCS.
Flowers and DiSanto helped the Panthers improve from a 2-9 overall record in 2022 to an 8-3 overall record in 2023.
