Eastern’s Career Services are kicking off Career Week on Monday Sept. 25, with a Networking Night, hosted at Tarble Arts Center.
Networking Night will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to teach participants about tips and tricks about how to mingle and network with employers.
Career Services describes the event by stating that “You’ll participate in a real networking event by introducing yourself, sharing your interests and skills, and building relationships with employers and other students.”
Students can register for the event through the Handshake app.
On Tuesday, Career Services will be hosting a Job Fair Prep Workshop with Bob Berdelle, the Regional Talent Acquisition Manager at Enterprise Holdings.
The workshop will take place in 1301 Human Services Center from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
By interacting with Berdelle, students will be able to gather insight from his extensive recruiting experience. He will also be offering valuable tips on how to prepare for interviews.
On Wednesday, a Fall Job and Internship Fair will be held in the MLK Jr. Union Grand Ballroom from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
This fair gives students the opportunity to network, start looking for jobs and internships and get experience talking with employers.
Advice with a Slice will be held on Friday from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Human Services Center to discuss various interviewing topics, while enjoying pizza.
Career Services is also offering resume and cover letter drop-in hours every Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and every Tuesday and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. These hours are held every week, not just during career week.
