Lainey Banta, a junior art education major, sculpts a coil pot in Doudna on Friday. The piece is called “Tessy” and derives from the phrase “two-ton Tessy” because it is heavy. The pot is 22 inches tall and weighs around 10 pounds. (Rob Le Cates)
