This weekend is the final weekend of play in the regular season for the men’s soccer teams of the Summit League.

There are three conference matches on the schedule Saturday with only St. Thomas having all of their regular season matches in the books already.

The first match Saturday will feature Eastern hosting Oral Roberts at 1 p.m.

The Panthers are 1-4 in conference play and sit in last place in the conference while Oral Roberts is in second place at 3-1-1.

Oral Roberts has scored 21 goals this season, the most in the conference, while Eastern’s seven goals rank second-to-last. Oral Roberts also rank first in goals allowed, surrendering just 10 goals this season.

The second match Saturday is between Western Illinois and Omaha at 3 p.m.

Western Illinois is 2-3 in conference play this season despite having scored just six goals. The Leathernecks have also allowed the most goals in the conference with 34.

Omaha is 3-2 in conference play and in third place in the Summit League.

The Mavericks have only scored nine goals but have allowed just 13, tied for the third-fewest in the conference.

The final match of Saturday, and therefore the season, is between Denver and Kansas City at 7 p.m.

Denver is atop the Summit League with a 4-1 conference record and received nine votes in the most recent NCAA Division I men’s soccer poll, officially being ranked 35th.

The Pioneers have scored the second-most goals in the conference (17) and allowed the second-fewest (12).

Kansas City is right in the middle of the conference in both goals scored and goals allowed, and also are in the middle of the standings in fourth place.

Following Saturday’s action, the Summit League Championships will begin Nov. 11.

There have been some individual standouts from across the Summit League this season both offensively and defensively.

Oral Roberts’ forward Dante Brigida has been the conference’s top scorer all season. He has eight goals, twice as many as the next closest player.

Brigida also leads the conference in shots and shots on goal. Oral Roberts also has Reed Berry, who is tied for third in the conference in goals, as well as the top three players in assists this season, led by Felipe D’Agostini with 5 assists.

Denver’s Lukas Fisher ranks second in the conference in scoring with four goals.

Oral Roberts also has the top goalkeeper in the conference in Miles Motakef.

He leads the Summit League in goals allowed per game, save percentage and shutouts.
