It is that time of year again, the time where we get an increased volume of correspondence asking for coverage of events.

This is an annual occurrence and something we have come to expect each year as the various organizations on campus begin to plan events.

However, as much as we would like to be able to cover every event on campus, we cannot. Several factors play into this, mostly that we are unable to be in multiple places at once.

Things come up, stories get bumped off of the news budget to make room for bigger stories, any number of things can lead to us being unable to dedicate the necessary time to cover a story.

For the best chance of getting something in the newspaper, we need to know when and where things are happening. If you have an event scheduled weeks in advance, giving us a warning a week in advance would be appreciated.

We want to cover your events, but we need your assistance and your patience.
