Vendor applications available for 18th Street Farmer’s Market
May 21, 2021
The 18th Street Farmer’s Market is looking for vendors.
The farmer’s market will be held from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday from May 29 to September 25 in the parking lot of the Coles County Health Department at 825 18th St.
Entrance into the market will be free and open to the public.
Vendors can offer fresh produce, baked goods, flowers and plants, baked goods, handcrafted items and more.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is accepted by all market food vendors who sell qualifying items, so attendees can bring their Link card to use their benefits at the market.
Guests interested in using their SNAP benefits at the market can do so by visiting the Market Information Table, swiping their Link card and receiving Market Bucks. Guests can then visit the market vendors and use their Market Bucks to purchase items.
Attendees can also use a credit card to receive Market Bucks, which can be used to purchase items from any vendor.
The market will be hosted by the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce for the 2021 season, which is taking over the management and promotion of the market.
According to a 18th Street Farmer’s Market Facebook post, “The Chamber will also bring new energy and new ideas to make this market the best in central Illinois.”
Those interested in becoming a vendor can do so through the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce by filling out the vendor application found at https://www.charlestonchamber.com/18th-street-farmers-market177d7ab8. You can then return it to the chamber via email at cacc@charlestonchamber.com or address it to the following address:
