1. Students gathered around campus to watch Eastern alumni Garoppolo in Super Bowl

Eastern students conglomerated around campus and Charleston Sunday night to watch Eastern alumni Jimmy Garoppolo play quarterback in the Super Bowl. 2. Women’s basketball team secures big win

Eastern’s women’s basketball team clobbered Austin Peay 76-47 on Saturday, giving Eastern its sixth conference win of the season. At 6-4 in OVC play now, the Panthers have already topped their conference win total from all of last season. 3. Men’s basketball team loses another tight road game

The Eastern men’s basketball team is now 0-6 in conference road games this season after falling to Austin Peay 68-64 on Saturday. It was the second game in a row the Panthers lost to an undefeated OVC team by four points or less. 4. ‘Fireside Chat’ to kick off Chasing the American Dream Series on campus
