Open sessions for academic advisers at Registrar Office to begin Tuesday

Open sessions begin Tuesday for two academic adviser positions within the Registrar Office.
There are three candidates being interviewed: Paula Davis (records and admissions specialist at Eastern), Barnabas Omulokoli (academic adviser at Eastern) and Erin Volk (coordinator of advisement at Lincoln Trail College).
Davis’ open session will begin Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., Omulokoli’s open session will begin July 16 from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and Volk’s open session will begin July 16 from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
All interviews and open sessions for the three candidates will take place in Blair Hall Room 3108, according to the university newsletter.
Paula Davis
Davis has been working as a records/admissions specialist at Eastern since August of 2003, according to her vita.
Before working at Eastern, Davis worked as a customer service representative at McLeodUSA/Consolidated Communications from 1997 to 2002.
Prior to that, Davis worked at Richland Community College in Decatur, Ill. as a secretary in student development and services from 1981 to 1995.
Davis earned her bachelor’s degree in general studies from Eastern in 2007 and her associate’s degree in science from Lake Land College in 1995.
Barnabas Omulokoli
Omulokoli has been an academic adviser at Eastern since 2017, according to his vita.
Before that, Omulokoli worked as a patient services assistant in the emergency department at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Charleston from 2016 to 2017.
When it comes to previous professional experience at Eastern, Omulokoli was also a library assistant from 2015 to 2016 and a records/admissions specialist from 2014 to 2015.
Omulokoli earned his master’s degree in international economic development from Eastern University at St. David’s, Pa. in 2010 and his bachelor’s degrees in science business administration and art history from Warner Pacific College in Portland, Ore. in 2007.
Erin Volk
Volk has been an advisement coordinator at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, Ill. since 2017, according to her vita.
Before that, Volk was a career adviser at the same college from 2015 to 2017.
Volk also has previous experience working at TRiO in Robinson; Volk was an academic counselor in 2013 and a counselor in 2012, according to her vita.
Volk earned her bachelor’s degree in science from Eastern in 2008 and her associate’s degrees in science and art from Olney Central College in Olney, Ill. in 2006. She also received her middle level teaching endorsement from Eastern in 2009.
