On behalf of (the Black Student Union), we as an organization fully support the raising of the (Black Lives Matter) flag and what it represents.

Due to the recent events that have taken place around the world, we feel it is important that our people have a voice in these challenging times.

Controversial issues such as police brutalities, lynchings and disagreement over the kneeling situations are many examples we as a whole are facing.

Many people think it is unfair to focus on a specific group of people, as all lives are important, but not all lives are facing the oppression that African-Americans deal with today.

The flag is our voice and a symbol for fighting the oppression we face.

The leaders of this initiative, Keshyra Bluminberg and Morgan Colvin, have nothing but our full support.
