FEATURE PHOTO: Donating blood for Red Cross

Bailey Olsen, a senior graphic design major, donates blood Thursday afternoon in the Student Recreation Center at Lantz Arena. The Red Cross spent the day at the recreation center collecting blood from students, and community members. “I’m here over the summer so I can work and take classes. I got the call and figured, I’m not doing anything on Thursday, why not. I know that O+ is especially in need, I got O+, I’m not doing anything with it, might as well right,” Olsen said, “As a college student, I can’t always donate money to causes I like, I don’t always have time to go volunteer, so for this, I can come in for a couple of minutes. It’s something I can do to be helpful that doesn’t take a lot of my time or cost anything cause it’s free so, why not.”
