From ROTC rappelling to face painting in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union, here are some photos that photographers snapped during Family Weekend.
Jack Kwiatkowski, a sports management major and Jacob Hite, who was visiting Eastern for Family Weekend, play Quidditch in the Library Quad Friday afternoon. Kwiatkowski was trying to keep the other two players from getting the ball.

Reifsteck is an Eastern alumna and said she likes coming around campus with her family to have a good time.
Kellie O’Connor, a sophomore biological sciences major, Melisa Cavka, a sophomore finance major and Hailey Phillips, a freshman pre-nursing major, tailgate outside O’Brien Field Saturday afternoon. The tailgate took place right before the football game between Eastern and Illinois State University. Eastern lost the game with an ending score of 44-13.
Jacob Barnard, an undeclared freshman and his mother Shelley Barnard make blankets for the Fleece Blanket Service Project Saturday in the University Ballroom at the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union. Shelley Barnard is from the Chicago area and said she came down to spend Family Weekend with her son.

Grace Lee Probus, 2, grabs a bear from her mom Heather Probus at the bear stuffing station which was part of FUNfest at Family Weekend on Saturday night. They traveled from Lovington to visit Heather Probus’ cousin who is an Eastern student.

Major Roy Waldhoff,a rappel master, encourages Ruth McMullen, a freshman JROTC student from Richland County High School, who was afraid to rappel off the side of Klehm Hall Friday afternoon during the ROTC rappelling training event. “I felt like I couldn’t do it and I was nervous,” MCMullen said. “But when everyone was clapping for me, I felt like I could do it.” After some coaxing and words of encouragement, McMullen rappelled her way down to the mat below. She said it was her first time doing so and her first time at Eastern.
