Rep. Reggie Phillips will be hosting a town hall meeting in Marshall on Monday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

“After months of negotiations with all parties involved, we finally have some financial relief for our Higher Education Institutions and vital services of our state,” he said. I have worked on ensuring funding for our higher education institutions and an example of our success is Eastern Illinois University receiving 90 percent funding for the 2016-2017 year.”

The meeting will be at the University of Illinois Extension Office of Clark County, 15493 N. State Highway 1 in Marshall.

Phillips and his staff did not respond to numerous attempts for comment.
