Nadler leaving for Northern Kentucky
May 25, 2016
Updated 5/26 at 7:55 p.m. with information from President Glassman.
Dan Nadler, who most recently served as vice president for student affairs, will be leaving to serve as the vice president for student affairs at Northern Kentucky University, according to an article in The Northerner.
In a previous article in The News, Nadler announced an educational leave starting in spring 2016. It is not known what prompted the leave, with Eastern president David Glassman declining to comment, citing a “personnel issue.”
In an email to The News, Glassman said that the search to find Nadler’s replacement is on hold until the university receives its state appropriation.
Lynette Drake, interim associate vice president for student affairs, will still lead in the meantime.
Nadler will begin at Northern Kentucky on July 18, taking over the position from Kim Turner, who served as interim since April 1, 2015.
His last day at Eastern is presently unknown.
“EIU appreciates the excellent leadership and service Dr. Nadler has provided to the university as Vice President of Student Affairs and wish him much success in his new position,” Glassman said.
Northern Kentucky president Geoffrey Mearns welcomed Nadler to NKU in an email to students.
The vice president for students affairs provides direct leadership over a wide variety of NKU departments, including student conduct and engagement and student inclusiveness.
