The Eastern men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Bradley Intercollegiate on Friday with Eastern recording finishes in the top-five for each race.
Freshman Maria Baldwin was the top finisher for the Eastern women’s team, finishing third with a time of 17:13.1. Sophomore Paxon Menard finished fifth for the men’s team with a time of 25:06.2.
The women’s team also had four other runners finish inside the top-10, with junior Victoria Quarton in fifth, sophomore Emily Brelsford in sixth, sophomore Julie James in ninth and sophomore Ivy Handley in tenth. Quarton had a time of 17:21.3, Brelsford had a time of 17:25.7, James had a time of 17:37.4 and Handley had a time of 17:45.8.
Other top finishers for the men’s team included sophomore Riley McInerney, who finished in seventh place, with a time of 25:19.5 and red-shirt junior Bruyn Yunk finished in 11th with a time of 25:57.9.
Eastern returns to action on Oct. 4 at Louisville.
