One regular season match remains for team

The Eastern men’s soccer team took a 3-1 loss on and could still get a spot in the Summit League Conference Tournament Tuesday to the Belmont Bruins losing 3-0.

The Panthers are now 7-8-1 this season.

Eastern is looking to capitalize on its last game as they will be taking on the Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons on Saturday.

Eastern has now lost two matches in a row, tying the longest losing streak this season.

Last time Eastern faced IPFW, the Panthers lost to the Mastodons 0-1 in overtime. Should Eastern win this game, it will have a .500 record this season.

A key player for the Panthers so far this season has been Will Butler, who has appeared in 16 games, made three goals for five attempts, and has a total of 22 shots.

Around the Summit League

The Western Illinois Leathernecks took the regular season Summit League Championship as they defeated Evansville 2-0. Their next game will be against conference rival Oral Roberts this Saturday.

The Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos will be taking on the Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Cougars this Friday.

Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne defeated Detroit Tuesday with a score of 2-1 in double-overtime.

Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis Jaguars will have their last regular season match against the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies this Saturday.
