Resident Hall meeting reviews budget and discuses upcoming programs. ?
Budget information was presented by Director of Housing & Dining Mark Hudson at last night’s Resident Hall meeting.
Hudson discussed rate increase and decreases, and spelled out the financial landscape for the coming year.
While most cost stayed the same or went up slightly, Hudson explained that the housing and dinning is taking in slightly more money than is necessary to pay for improvement projects rather than selling bonds to raise money.
Greek Court will put up a Christmas tree and each house will help decorate it for the holidays.
Among the events discussed were finals week snacks, root beer pong, a holiday party and several resident hall elections were brought forward.
President of the Residence Hall Association Karla Browning said “we want to bring a strong end to the semester.”
The National Residence Hall Honorary discussed a Winter Wonderland program to be provided to children including Santa played by a resident who grew out his beard.
Hudson also informed those in attendance that everyone who signed up for dining and housing early would receive $100 extra dining dollars, and be entered into a drawing for things such as a free room and board packages.
