Chicago Comedy Troupe to perform in 7th Street
Comedy and costumes will abound tonight in 7th Street Underground.
Mission Improvable, an improvisational comedy troupe from Chicago, will perform at 9 p.m. today.
The troupe will interact with the audience and perform skits based on improvisation. Anyone who has ever seen the show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” will know exactly what quick-draw, fast-paced improv comedy is about.
The comedians of Mission Improvable will use whatever comes off the top of their heads to cause side splitting laughter and wide spread hilarity.
Eastern’s very own comedy group, Lunchbox Voodoo, will open for Mission Improvable. Lunchbox Voodoo is a sketch comedy group that writes its own scripts for sketch performances similar to Saturday Night Live.
Matt Caponera, head of comedy events for the University Board, said the event will be festive as well as fun.
“People should come early because the event is a Halloween party,” Caponera said. “We are encouraging everyone to wear costumes and bring candy.”
The event is free to all and prizes will be raffled off to audience members. A prize will be given to the person with the top costume.
