Criminal charges were filed Tuesday against Christine Miller, the off-duty police officer who was involved in a collision that killed 3 Eastern students on March 21.
Miller was arrested Tuesday morning at her home in Kirkwood, Miss.
Miller has been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter in the first degree, one count of assault in the second degree, driving while intoxicated and a Class C felony, which involves a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
The case will be tried before a grand jury and the trial date has not yet been set.
