In honor of African-American Heritage Month, Eastern has scheduled a variety of events across campus to educate and involve students in minority affairs. This year’s theme is “Yes We Can! Celebrating the Past – Forging a New Future,” an ode to the election of America’s first black president.

Events include lectures, cooking displays, panels, films and a banquet. The month comes to a close with the Miss Black EIU pageant.
