Several representatives from different student groups, including Women’s Studies, the Asian American Association, the Black Student Union and EIU Pride, reclaimed the use of slurs in today’s society during a panel in Lumpkin Hall on Tuesday night.

Students discussed how they felt about certain words and reflected on how derogatory slurs are used.
