Over the weekend the fifth annual 4k Run/Walk for Shannon McNamara honored the memory of the former Eastern student who was raped and murdered in her apartment near Eastern on June 12, 2001. McNamara was an Alpha Phi sorority member, physical education major and member of the Physical Education Honors Club.

More than 200 participants raised awareness and money to fund a scholarship in McNamara’s name.
