Celebration starts Friday
The annual arts festival “Celebration” will take place April 25-27 on the library quad.
The festival, which has taken place since 1977, offers live music, children’s art activities, demonstrations, art exhibits and food booths.
More than 10 musical acts will perform, while more than 40 artists will be selling their work, ranging from pottery to jewelry.
On Friday, Pantherstock will take place all day on the Quad Stage. The Eastern Jazz Lab Band, Little Boy Jr., Roses and Sake, and American English will perform.
On Saturday, children will be able to meet Clifford the Big Red Dog and the Eastern botany club will have a prairie plant sale.
A multi-cultural concert will take place at 1 p.m. in McAfee Gymnasium. The concert will showcase traditional Illinois old-time music.
On Sunday, Mark Dvorak will perform at 11 a.m. on the Quad Stage, followed by Dennis Stroughmatt et l’Esprit Creole at 12:30 p.m.
