On Wednesday Student Government Reporter Rick Kambic traveled to Springfield and followed Eastern representatives as they lobbied for higher education funding at the State Capitol. Kambic sat down with Rep. Chapin Rose to discuss his anger at Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s recent higher education funding cuts. Eastern will lose 1/12 of its annual funding. Rose also encourages students and their parents to contact their hometown representatives to gain state-wide support for higher education.
