Charleston Police have no new leads in attempted kidnapping
Chief Mark Jenkins said there are no new leads in Thursday’s attempted kidnapping on 17th Street.
A man tried to force the victim into a maroon or burgundy older style minivan Thursday afternoon.
Jenkins said the department has found a couple maroon minivans in the area that matched the description, but after further investigation, the vans were found not to be involved.
The suspect was described as a 40-old-man black male between 6 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 2 inches tall with an average build.
The man has short hair with possible gray near his sideburns and has some facial hair.
Anyone with information should contact the Charleston Police Department at 345-0060.
