    The Cook’s Take

The process Associate Verge Editor Jason Duarte took for this week’s recipe:

You’d really have to be incapable of doing simple tasks to screw this one up. I’m no chef and it was delicious. I threw the chicken in my toaster oven and went grocery shopping at County Market while it cooked. Time can be a valuable thing. Anyway, after I picked up a few things, the chicken was all but about six minutes done, so I put together the pasta in the meantime. Try to time it so the pasta and the chicken are done at the same time. Start the pasta about 10 to 15 minutes into the chicken’s bake time when you do it.

The awesome thing about this recipe is that it’s not only healthy, but cheap.

Keep an eye on the pasta. Taste it after about eight minutes, but don’t burn your mouth. As the water and milk boil together, the pasta will get foamy if it’s not stirred every couple of minutes. Make sure it doesn’t boil over. Also, double check to see if the inside of your chicken is pink. If it is, you can cook it for a few minutes longer. If you’re a vegetarian, you can still eat the pasta in this recipe. They didn’t test it on animals, I swear.
