1. After the game is on and at the multi-player Pro Face-Off mode, pick a guitarist and choose a show and song. Start talking trash to get your opponent’s spirits down. Make a bet that the loser must buy dinner.

2. Be used to positions of the colored frets and press down on them and the strum bar simultaneously as the colored circles go by on the screen. Once game play starts, step on your opponent’s toes.

3. Stay in the green section on the Rock Meter by hitting as many consecutive notes and chords as possible. Run in circles around your opponent to distract them.

4. The key to winning is hitting all the star notes in a row to build Star Power. Using the whammy bar on a long note during the star notes helps build more Star Power. Keep an eye on your Star Power, located at the top of the Rock Meter.

5. Once the Star Power gauge is full, tilt the guitar vertically at the right moment. The best time to use Star Power is when the meter is completely full with a good streak, or when the score meter says “x4”. Do not give your opponent a chance to get Star Power going.

6. After victory, glare at your opponent. Make sure they know who the boss is and say, “What now?” Make sure to collect that free dinner.
