Associate news editor Matt Hopf talked to former Illinois governor Jim Edgar about his time in Springfield, students being involved in politics and his upcoming speech at Eastern.

Edgar donated $150,000 to Eastern to bring political speakers to campus. Edgar will speak at Eastern on Tuesday, and his wife will be a guest speaker next semester.
