Golf outing canceled
The Illini Invitational was canceled this past weekend for the first time in its 31 years because of frigid weather conditions.
Senior Chelsea Bach said not making up the golf hopefully won’t affect them at conference.
Having this time will allow them to do some team bonding, Bach said.
“I tell them to take it as a learning experience, we need to focus on each individual shot,” Bach said.
It was hard coming in as the only senior, Bach said.
She said some of the girls had their own inside jokes and she did not want to come in between that.
Senior leads the way toward conference tourney
Anthony Imburgia placed second at the Missouri State Invitational at Branson Creek Golf Course on April 3. Imburgia said that he “kinda felt like he gave this one away.”
Imburgia, along with his twin brothers Michael and Matthew have a chance to win at the Ohio Valley Conference tournament, said head coach Mike Moncel.
Senior Ty Comerford is not worried about conference.
Comerford said he will try a different approach, but will go out and try to play a relaxed game.
