Matt Stevens joined the Daily Eastern News as a freshman and was rewarded for his efforts with an ICPA award for sports writing as well as the associate sports editor position.

Steven forewent a newspaper position for an internship with WAUK radio in his home town in Wisconsin.

Stevens has also spent his summer managing a Piggly Wiggly and making the world a kinder, gentler place to buy kegs of beer and beef jerky.
