UB positions open for the fall
The University Board now has positions open for next semester
including lectures coordinator, human potential coordinator and
special events coordinator.
Those interested in these positions can pick up
applications in the Student Activities Center. Applications are
due by 4 p.m. today to the UB chair mailbox No. 1 SAC.
All coordinators are required to devote six hours per week
to their positions. Those hours include one weekly adviser
meeting, one weekly UB meeting at 7 p.m. every Tuesday, three
office hours per week and one committee meeting per week, said
Devin Dittrich, former UB chairman.
The UB recently elected a new chairman, Stephanie
Skrzypek, and a vice chairman, Caleb Judy. The two are now
going through training and their terms have no limit.
The lectures coordinator is responsible for bringing a
wide variety of speakers to campus, Dittrich said. The
coordinator also needs to provide students with a chance to
hear lectures on educational and social topics and that person
is required to hold a volunteer position.
The human potential coordinator is responsible for
presenting programs and events that increase multicultural awareness and programs that include speakers and entertainers.
This coordinator also is required to hold a volunteer position,
Dittrich said.
The special events coordinator plans seasonal and unique
programming for the campus, such as hypnotists and Quakin’ in
the Quad, Dittrich said. The coordinator also is required to
hold a volunteer position.
Those who are interested or those with any questions can
call Dittrich at 345-0885.
